VML/WPP Enterprise Solutions is hiring a Salesforce Commerce Cloud - Technical Architect in Mumbai, India. As part of WPP, the company designs, builds, and operates growth systems, helping global brands navigate business transformation and marketing modernization through engineering, platforms, commerce, and consulting. In this role, you will be responsible for leading the end-to-end technical architecture, solution design, and technical delivery for large-scale ecommerce implementations and support engagements. A normal day involves defining secure and high-performance ecommerce solutions, reviewing technical designs and code quality, driving third-party integrations, performing technical estimations, and collaborating with cross-functional teams like QA, DevOps, and business stakeholders. You will also mentor developers, support production issue resolution, participate in architecture workshops, and ensure strict adherence to Salesforce Commerce Cloud best practices and coding standards across projects.

Responsibilities

• Lead end-to-end technical architecture and solution design for SFCC B2C Commerce projects.
• Define scalable, secure, and high-performance ecommerce solutions matching business needs.
• Review and govern technical designs, code quality, and implementation best practices.
• Drive integrations with external platforms such as OMS, CRM, ERP, PIM, and Payment Gateways.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams including Business, QA, DevOps, and Product Owners.
• Perform technical estimations, solution reviews, and risk assessments.
• Support production issue resolution, performance optimization, and platform stability.
• Mentor and guide developers and technical leads across multiple projects.

Requirements

• Strong hands-on experience with Salesforce Commerce Cloud B2C.
• Expertise in SFRA architecture, cartridges, controllers, ISML, OCAPI, SCAPI, hooks, and job frameworks.
• Strong proficiency in JavaScript, Node.js, REST APIs, and integration patterns.
• Experience with CI/CD pipelines, Git, Jenkins, and deployment processes.
• Experience with cloud platforms like AWS or Azure and serverless integrations.
• Ability to prepare architecture diagrams, technical design documents, and solution blueprints.
• Good understanding of ecommerce concepts such as catalog, checkout, promotions, and inventory.
• Strong communication and stakeholder management skills.

Good to have

• Experience with composable commerce or headless architecture.
• Exposure to Salesforce ecosystem products like Service Cloud, Marketing Cloud, or Experience Cloud.
• Knowledge of frontend frameworks.
• SFCC certifications preferred.
