Airbnb is looking for a Senior Analyst, Advanced Analytics to join the Analytics Centre of Excellence (ACOE) India team, specifically supporting the Fraud & Safety Delivery team. Airbnb connects millions of hosts and guests globally through unique stays and experiences. In this role, you will act as a trusted partner to product teams and business leaders, building advanced analytical solutions to manage risk, ensure regulatory compliance, and shape product and policy decisions. A normal day in this role involves executing projects with regular direction, setting quarterly roadmaps, ensuring data quality, performing data modeling, conducting root cause analysis, devising metric frameworks, and experimenting with new policy and product features to mitigate risk.

Responsibilities

• Collaborate with technical and business teams to generate insights, build data narratives, and define key metrics.
• Develop advanced analytical capabilities and tools to solve complex problems using Airbnb's data and machine learning infrastructure.
• Execute projects with regular direction and establish project roadmaps up to a quarter in advance.
• Perform data modeling for hosts, customers, cases, and agents using modern tools to provide a strong analytical foundation.
• Conduct ad-hoc reporting, data investigations, and root cause analysis to solve operational bottlenecks and inefficiencies.
• Devise business metric frameworks and optimization models to support product, operations, and policy decisions.
• Partner with data science and engineering teams to influence machine learning models for automated policy enforcement.

Requirements

• 6+ years of industry experience.
• Advanced degree in Business Analytics or a quantitative field such as Statistics, Computer Science, Engineering, Mathematics, or Data Science.
• Advanced proficiency in SQL, NoSQL, and programming languages like Python, R, or SAS.
• Intermediate knowledge of data foundations and databases such as Presto, Hive, Teradata, and Spark.
• Advanced proficiency in statistical and machine learning techniques, and BI platforms like Tableau.
• Strong communication and collaboration skills to work across cultures and audiences.
• Proven track record of delivering full stack data projects from inception to business impact.

Good to have

• Master or PhD degree in a quantitative field.
• Knowledge and experience in Fraud & Safety operations, systems, and tools.
