As a Senior Quality Engineer (SDET) at Endor Labs in Bengaluru, you will play a crucial role in driving the reliability, scalability, and security of our innovative products. This position goes far beyond traditional quality assurance by asking you to own product quality end-to-end. A normal day in this role involves designing robust test strategies, building and maintaining scalable automation frameworks, integrating quality checks into CI/CD pipelines, and conducting exploratory testing for complex security use cases. You will collaborate closely with engineering, product, and DevOps teams to define benchmarks, analyze issues using observability platforms, and leverage modern AI tools to enhance test coverage and development velocity. Responsibilities

• Own and drive end-to-end quality strategy for product features from design to release.
• Design, develop, and maintain scalable test automation frameworks and test suites.
• Perform deep manual and exploratory testing for complex security use cases.
• Integrate automated tests into CI/CD pipelines to ensure rapid and reliable releases.
• Collaborate with engineering, product, and DevOps teams to define acceptance criteria and quality benchmarks.
• Identify, debug, and root-cause complex issues using logs, metrics, and observability platforms.
• Contribute to release processes including build validation, regression cycles, and production readiness.
• Leverage AI tools such as Cursor and Claude to improve debugging and test generation.

Requirements

• 5 to 8 years of experience in software engineering or QA with exposure to manual and automation testing.
• Proficiency in at least one programming language like Java, Python, or Go.
• Hands-on experience building or working with test automation frameworks such as JUnit, TestNG, or Pytest.
• Strong understanding of CI/CD systems like Jenkins, GitHub Actions, or GitLab CI.
• Solid understanding of REST APIs and experience with API testing tools such as Postman.
• Experience working with cloud platforms including AWS, Azure, or GCP.
• Strong debugging skills using tools like Splunk or Kibana.
• Familiarity with containerization and orchestration tools like Docker and Kubernetes.

Good to have

• Experience working in or strong interest in the security and cybersecurity domain.
• Foundational understanding of AI and ML concepts in software engineering workflows.
• Experience with version control using Git and build tools like Maven, npm, or pip.
