Senior Software Engineer I

As a Senior Software Engineer I joining the Platform Core Team in Pune, you will play a key role in building and supporting high-performing software systems. A normal day in this position involves designing and maintaining large-scale production services, building data pipelines and streaming systems, debugging complex production issues across multiple stack levels, and collaborating with cross-functional engineering teams. You will also participate in code evaluations, review test processes, and help improve organizational engineering standards while working independently on critical company operations.

Responsibilities

• Design, build, and maintain large-scale production services, web applications, data pipelines, and streaming systems.
• Debug production issues across various services and multiple stack levels.
• Collaborate with cross-functional engineering teams to ensure timely software deliverables.
• Participate in the testing process through test review, analysis, witnessing, and software certification.
• Evaluate code to ensure validity, proper structure, and compliance with industry standards.
• Support engineering teams with high attention to detail and document research findings.
• Contribute to the improvement of organizational engineering standards, processes, and tooling.

Requirements

• Strong Golang experience as the primary requirement.
• Bachelor's degree in a related field or equivalent business experience.
• Ability to work independently and constructively under pressure in a fast-paced environment.
• Strong verbal and written communication skills for interacting with colleagues.
• Knowledge of software development tools including version control, build processes, debuggers, and test frameworks.
• Ability to adapt to new technologies and processes based on business needs.

Good to have

• Exposure to PostgreSQL.
• Exposure to Kafka.
