As a Senior Software Test Engineer I based in Pune, you will play a key role in driving quality across cloud-based applications, web platforms, and APIs. A normal day in this position involves designing and executing functional, integration, and regression test strategies, building and maintaining automated test frameworks using Python, validating REST APIs and microservices, and integrating automated tests into CI/CD pipelines. You will also collaborate closely with Product, Engineering, and DevOps teams, mentor junior engineers, and leverage AI-powered developer tools like GitHub Copilot or Cursor to optimize test coverage, debug issues, and accelerate overall quality engineering activities.

Responsibilities

• Design and execute functional, integration, regression, and end-to-end test strategies.
• Develop and maintain automated test frameworks using Python.
• Automate UI, API, and backend testing with tools like PyTest, Selenium, Playwright, and Robot Framework.
• Validate REST APIs, databases, and microservices-based applications.
• Integrate automated tests into CI/CD pipelines to support continuous testing.
• Identify, troubleshoot, and track defects through to resolution.
• Collaborate with Product, Engineering, and DevOps teams throughout the SDLC.
• Mentor junior engineers and promote quality engineering best practices.

Requirements

• Experience in driving quality across web, API, and cloud-based applications.
• Hands-on automation development expertise using Python.
• Familiarity with testing tools such as PyTest, Selenium, Playwright, and Robot Framework.
• Ability to validate REST APIs, databases, and microservices.
• Experience integrating automated tests into CI/CD pipelines.
• Knowledge of AI-powered engineering and developer productivity tools like Cursor or GitHub Copilot.
• Ability to work effectively in an Agile environment.

• Experience mentoring junior engineers.
