As a Senior Software Engineer (Java) at Adyen in Bengaluru, you will design and scale low-latency distributed systems for the Authentication and Tokenization team. Adyen is a financial technology platform providing payments, data, and financial products to major global enterprise merchants. In your daily work, you will build and maintain high-performance platforms, write testable code, and handle the complete end-to-end lifecycle of new functionalities from initial design to bringing code live. You will navigate complex compliance frameworks like RBI mandates, optimize transaction flows, and support core financial data processes. Collaborating with a diverse, international engineering team, you will launch features fast, review code, and tackle unique technical challenges at scale to ensure secure, reliable checkout experiences worldwide.

Responsibilities

• Build and maintain distributed high-performance platforms
• Take full responsibility from initial design to bringing new functionality live
• Identify and improve platform parts to make them robust and scalable
• Collaborate across teams and time zones, review code, and accept feedback
• Help with core financial data processes and finance infrastructure to keep it secure and reliable
• Launch fast and iterate often to bring code live for businesses and shoppers

Requirements

• 7+ years of experience working with object-oriented programming languages (Java)
• Flexibility and strong teamwork skills with an eye for detail
• Ability to take ownership, lead projects, and write testable code
• Excellent communication skills to articulate complex technical concepts
• Proficiency in English for operating in a global setting

Good to have

• Proficiency in languages other than English
