Senior Specialist, EMEA Payroll

MongoDB is looking for an experienced Senior Specialist in EMEA Payroll to join their global payroll department in Gurugram. MongoDB provides a unified data platform designed for the AI era, helping organizations modernize legacy workloads and build innovative software. In this role, you will report to the Payroll Manager and collaborate closely with the Accounting, HR, and Benefits teams. Your normal day will involve coordinating payroll cycles, processing multi-country payrolls, auditing payroll data for accuracy, and ensuring compliance with all relevant regulations. You will also assist with SOX compliance, handle year-end activities for EMEA regions, support equity transactions, and participate in system upgrades. Additionally, you will drive process improvements and provide prompt customer service to employees regarding their payroll questions within a hybrid working model.

Responsibilities

• Prepare, distribute, and report payroll while ensuring compliance with applicable regulations.
• Process end-to-end payroll accurately and timely across multiple countries.
• Audit payroll data for wages, deductions, tax withholdings, and garnishments.
• Handle year-end activities for EMEA countries including filing reports and remittances.
• Support payroll audits and maintain internal controls for SOX compliance.
• Assist with system upgrades, user testing, and process documentation.
• Support payroll and equity teams with processing and recording equity transactions.
• Resolve employee inquiries regarding pay, deductions, and payroll procedures.

Requirements

• Strong knowledge of multi-country payroll and payroll tax rules.
• Current experience with payroll systems and reporting functions.
• Minimum of 5 years of payroll experience in a multi-national company.
• Excellent written, verbal communication, and problem-solving skills.
• Ability to work independently, remotely, and meet strict deadlines.
• Capability to recommend and implement process changes effectively.
• Ability to provide efficient customer service and collaborate well in teams.

Good to have

• Experience with ADP and Success Factors
• Fluent in French or written and spoken Italian
