Ensono is looking for a Senior Windows Systems Engineer to join their team in India. As an expert technology adviser and managed service provider, Ensono helps organizations optimize their systems across hybrid environments through consulting, cloud migration, and managed services. In this role, you will serve as the technical subject matter expert for Windows Server, Active Directory, and VMware technologies, delivering L3/L4-level support within a managed services environment. A normal day involves leading complex troubleshooting efforts, managing server lifecycles, handling critical production incidents, driving automation initiatives with PowerShell, ensuring security compliance, and collaborating with global project teams and enterprise customers to maintain infrastructure stability and continuous innovation.

Responsibilities

• Serve as the technical SME for Windows Server, Active Directory, and VMware technologies providing L3/L4-level support.
• Manage the administration, troubleshooting, and lifecycle tasks for Windows Server 2012 through 2025 environments.
• Act as the highest technical escalation point for critical production incidents, major outages, and customer escalations.
• Support hybrid infrastructure spanning on-premises datacentres and Microsoft Azure services.
• Drive automation and operational efficiency using PowerShell, Ansible, and related automation technologies.
• Ensure security compliance through vulnerability remediation, Windows hardening, and patch management.
• Mentor L1 and L2 engineers and maintain technical documentation and operational runbooks.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in computer science, Information Technology, Engineering, or equivalent experience.
• 10+ years of hands-on experience managing enterprise Windows Infrastructure environments.
• Minimum 5 to 7 years of strong hands-on experience with Active Directory Domain Services.
• Strong experience with VMware technologies including ESXi, vCenter, vSphere, HA, DRS, and vMotion.
• Working knowledge of Microsoft Azure services including Azure VMs, Backup, Site Recovery, and Monitor.
• Advanced PowerShell scripting expertise for automation, orchestration, and efficiency.
• Strong understanding of ITSM processes using ServiceNow including Incident, Problem, and Change Management.

Good to have

• Working knowledge of PowerShell DSC with Azure management.
• Experience with enterprise monitoring platforms like Grafana, LogicMonitor, SolarWinds, SCOM, or Dynatrace.
• Experience managing backup and disaster recovery solutions such as Veeam, Commvault, or NetBackup.
• Knowledge of security frameworks, CIS hardening standards, Microsoft Defender, Qualys, and Tenable.
