Razorpay, a leading full-stack financial technology company in India, is seeking an Analyst, Banking Alliances for its Chennai location. Razorpay powers millions of businesses with a smarter, scalable stack ranging from AI-native agentic payments and fraud detection to automated reconciliation and smart payouts. Working in close collaboration with ecosystem partners like banks, networks, and regulators, the company shapes the next era of fintech across India and Southeast Asia. In this role, the analyst will lead Payment Gateway business growth across strategic locations. A normal day involves driving end-to-end sales, managing banking and financial institution relationships, developing government ties, leading commercial negotiations, structuring deals, and tracking market intelligence.

Responsibilities

• Own end-to-end sales of Payment Gateway solutions to merchants and institutions in the assigned location.
• Build and maintain strong relationships with regional and cooperative banks, NBFCs, and nodal partners.
• Develop and manage relationships with state and local government bodies for PG adoption in public services.
• Lead pricing discussions, commercial negotiations, and deal structuring for large strategic deals.
• Coordinate with bank partners for faster onboarding, issue resolution, and co-selling opportunities.
• Track competitor activity, pricing trends, and provide regular pipeline reports to leadership.

Requirements

• 4 to 8 years of experience in Payment Gateway, Fintech, or Banking sales.
• Deep understanding of PG infrastructure including acquiring banks, payment networks, and settlement flows.
• Proven track record of commercial negotiation with banks or financial institutions.
• Experience managing or engaging with government bodies or PSUs for payments and fintech solutions.
• Strong hunter mentality with a consultative sales approach.
• Excellent communication, relationship management, and stakeholder influence skills.

Good to have

• Prior experience working in or extensively covering the assigned strategic location.
• Existing network of merchants, bank officials, or government contacts in specified cities.
• Familiarity with RBI payment regulations, PCI-DSS, and digital payment policies.
• Understanding of GST, e-invoicing, or government payment use cases.
