Point72 is looking for a Site Reliability Engineer to join its Technology team in Bengaluru, India. Point72 is a prominent global alternative investment firm led by Steven A. In this operational role, you will use software and systems engineering expertise to support distributed, real-time systems for the Global Macro business. A typical day involves building foundational SRE components, collaborating with development and quant teams to meet service level objectives, monitoring capacity, reviewing automation code, troubleshooting issues, and participating in design reviews.

Responsibilities

• Build foundational technical components for an extensive SRE program across various complex systems.
• Partner with development and quant teams to maintain measurable SLOs for user interactions.
• Keep track of system capacity and performance to prevent future bottlenecks and instability.
• Review automation code created by peers to ensure high standards of quality and efficiency.
• Troubleshoot and resolve system problems while analyzing infrastructure and service impacts.
• Take part in or lead design reviews to choose optimal technologies and automation strategies.

Requirements

• 7 to 10 years of proven experience as a site reliability engineer or in a similar position.
• Strong coding skills in Python and PowerShell, with the ability to understand C# and write basic apps.
• Experience working with Windows and Linux operating systems, AWS, Terraform, and Ansible.
• Familiarity with container technologies including Docker, Kubernetes, AWS EKS, and ECS.
• Self-motivated mindset with strong interpersonal abilities and a deep sense of ownership.
• Dedication to upholding the highest ethical standards.
