Point72 is looking for a Software Engineer for Cloud Infrastructure to join its technology team in Bengaluru, India. The technology division at Point72 works on modernizing IT infrastructure, adopting cloud architectures, and exploring open-source and artificial intelligence solutions to support a global investment business. In this role, you will help build, scale, and secure the firm's cloud environments. A typical day for a Software Engineer involves designing and managing Kubernetes infrastructure on Amazon EKS, writing and maintaining Infrastructure as Code using Terraform, administering PostgreSQL databases, and handling artifact registries and monitoring tools. You will also manage AWS IAM policies with a security-first mindset, support CI/CD pipelines, collaborate with data engineering teams, and participate in on-call rotations to ensure platform reliability.

Responsibilities

• Design and improve Kubernetes infrastructure on Amazon EKS including autoscaling and lifecycle management.
• Administer and tune PostgreSQL databases on RDS for operational reliability.
• Manage Infrastructure as Code using Terraform to provision and audit AWS resources.
• Handle AWS IAM roles, policies, and access patterns with a security-first approach.
• Maintain artifact registries and manage container image lifecycles and vulnerability remediation.
• Evolve the monitoring and observability stack using Prometheus, Grafana, and OpenSearch.
• Support source control and CI/CD tools including Bitbucket, Jenkins, GitHub, and GitHub Actions.

Requirements

• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field, or equivalent experience.
• 4+ years of hands-on experience in cloud infrastructure, DevOps, or platform engineering.
• Deep production-level expertise with Kubernetes, preferably Amazon EKS.
• Strong proficiency in Terraform for Infrastructure as Code.
• Solid AWS experience across EKS, EC2, S3, RDS, and IAM.
• Experience administering PostgreSQL or similar relational databases in the cloud.
• Hands-on experience with Helm, ArgoCD, and GitOps workflows.

Good to have

• Familiarity with artifact management and container vulnerability remediation workflows.
• Scripting and automation skills in Python or Bash.
• Strong Linux fundamentals and production system operations.
