About this job
MongoDB is looking for a Software Engineer 3 to join the Enterprise Advanced distributed team in Gurugram. The Enterprise Advanced team builds software that runs MongoDB on any infrastructure globally, ranging from on-premise data centers to private clouds. As part of this team, you will focus primarily on Ops Manager and Automation, the systems that enable customers to deploy fault-tolerant and globally distributed MongoDB clusters in minutes. Your normal day involves designing, implementing, testing, and releasing features for Ops Manager, owning the end-to-end delivery of complex projects, troubleshooting and resolving issues in large-scale customer deployments, and applying solid engineering judgment across planning, design, and code reviews. You will work in a hybrid setup from the Gurgaon office and report to the Senior Engineering Manager.
Responsibilities
- Design, implement, test, and release features for Ops Manager
- Own end-to-end delivery of complex projects from design through incremental shipping
- Troubleshoot and resolve issues found in customer deployments running at scale
- Apply engineering judgment and core values during planning, design, and code reviews
Requirements
- 4+ years experience with a language such as Java or Go
- Experience building multi-threaded, asynchronous, distributed systems
- Good knowledge of Computer Science fundamentals including data structures and algorithms
- Good understanding of Object Orientation concepts
- Ability to think conceptually and design modular, complex systems
Good to have
- Familiarity running services on cloud infrastructure using containers and orchestration platforms
- Experience working directly with production systems
- Experience with multiple programming languages
- Experience with the MongoDB Server
- Experience or interest in full-stack web application development
