As a Junior Analyst in Risk Management at Razorpay, you will join a prominent financial technology company that powers digital payments and business banking across India, Singapore, and Malaysia. In this role, your daily focus will involve monitoring transactions and merchants to spot potential fraud, handling transaction queries, communicating with customers or merchants, and collaborating with partner banks and the Cybercell to manage chargebacks and resolve disputes. You will play a key part in protecting the platform by reducing monetary losses and identifying innovative ways to improve risk management processes.
Responsibilities
- Monitor transactions and merchants to identify and act on risk or fraud immediately
- Handle transaction queries and discrepancies when customer disputes arise
- Work closely with partner banks and Cybercell to manage chargebacks and customer disputes
- Ensure timely recovery of funds to reduce monetary losses
- Speak with merchants and customers to understand and address their concerns
- Identify innovative ways to reduce risks and enhance existing processes
Requirements
- Hold a Bachelor's Degree
- Knowledge about customer support apps or CRM tools such as Freshdesk
- Familiarity with chargeback stages, penalties, technical chargebacks, and Visa/Mastercard guidelines
- Strong interpersonal skills with a friendly and pleasant demeanor over phone and email
- Exceptional verbal and written communication skills
- Good listening skills to understand, anticipate, and resolve queries
- Attention to detail, organizational skills, and multitasking abilities to spot anomalies or suspicious behaviors
