The Associate Manager, Forecasting role at DoorDash India sits within the Workforce Demand Forecasting team as part of Global Support and Integrity Operations. The team translates business activity into demand forecasts and planning insights to help DoorDash deliver reliable and efficient support. Their work informs customer experience, workforce investment, and cost management by partnering with departments like Operations, Finance, Data Science, and Engineering. On a normal day, the Associate Manager leads defined forecasting workstreams from end to end, manages forecast quality and stakeholder alignment, translates complex data into clear recommendations for senior leaders, and guides analysts through coaching and technical support.

Responsibilities

• Lead demand forecasting across designated business lines to ensure accuracy and account for drivers like seasonality and promotions.
• Serve as the primary forecasting leader for assigned workstreams by setting priorities and managing stakeholder delivery.
• Identify and lead opportunities to improve forecasting methods, planning processes, and automation.
• Partner with Data Science, Business Intelligence, and Engineering teams to shape forecasting capabilities and define requirements.
• Coach analysts across forecasting, analytical problem solving, and executive communication to develop talent.
• Translate complex findings into clear recommendations and decision requests for senior leaders.

Requirements

• Master's Degree in a Quantitative field with 4+ years of relevant experience, or a Bachelor's in a Quantitative field with 6+ years of relevant experience.
• Strong experience in forecasting, demand planning, workforce management, operations strategy, or business analytics.
• High proficiency in SQL and Excel.
• Ability to build and evaluate dashboards, metrics, and models across platforms like Tableau, Sigma, Power BI, QuickSight, or Looker.
• Experience leading complex, cross-functional initiatives from problem definition to implementation.
• Ability to communicate clearly with individual contributors, cross-functional partners, and senior leaders.
