Cohere Health is hiring an Associate Software Engineer for its Clinical Intelligence team in Hyderabad. The company uses artificial intelligence and advanced rules engines to transform prior authorization processes, improve healthcare efficiency, reduce costs, and enhance patient care. In this role, you will help build impactful healthcare technologies that streamline prior authorization. A normal day involves contributing to technical roadmaps, designing and developing cloud platforms and web applications, collaborating with product and design teams, and working across the entire stack from the database to the frontend. You will also participate in technical design processes, implement new technologies to boost development efficiency, and occasionally support engineering releases and production duties. Responsibilities

• Contribute to the functional and technical roadmap while delivering AI-driven healthcare automation solutions.
• Support technical design processes and make data-driven decisions alongside cross-functional teams.
• Implement new technologies and services to maximize development efficiency.
• Drive feature design, development, testing, and delivery for cloud platforms and web applications from database to frontend.
• Collaborate with product and design teammates to build applications for healthcare practitioners.
• Drive periodic engineering releases and perform occasional production support duties.
• Align with organizational policies and information security practices.

Requirements

• Bachelor's degree or higher in Computer Science, software engineering, or equivalent experience.
• 0 to 3 years of full-time software development lifecycle experience.
• Proficiency in Java or Python programming languages.
• Exposure to building applications using React and JavaScript.
• Familiarity with software development practices like version control, unit testing, and CI/CD.
• Familiarity with cloud development on AWS or Azure.
• Familiarity with relational and NoSQL datastores, data access patterns, and strategies.
• High level of ownership for the entire SDLC and the ability to be autonomous in a fast-paced environment.

Good to have

• Experience integrating AI/LLM-based systems into product workflows.
• Participation in open source or community projects.
• Experience designing or implementing agent-based systems or AI products with autonomous agents.
• Experience working with TypeScript.
