As an Azure Platform Lead based in Chennai, you will head the Azure Platform team to build and deliver reusable cloud platform components. In this full-time position, a normal day involves guiding sprint workloads, mentoring engineers, reviewing code, designing enterprise Azure landing zones, and creating automated deployment workflows. You will also write Terraform modules, collaborate with security and application teams, and act as the primary technical escalation point for troubleshooting complex infrastructure issues in a 24/7 enterprise production environment.
Responsibilities
- Manage sprint workloads, mentor engineers, and review code to meet project goals.
- Design and maintain enterprise Azure landing zones, networking, and policies.
- Build, test, and publish reusable Terraform modules via Terraform Cloud Registry.
- Create automated deployment pipelines utilizing GitHub Actions and Azure DevOps.
- Collaborate with security and data teams to deliver self-service cloud components.
- Act as the senior technical escalation point for troubleshooting and incident resolution.
Requirements
- 7+ years of experience in Infrastructure, Cloud Engineering, and DevOps.
- Prior experience in a Team Lead, Tech Lead, or Management role.
- Microsoft Certified: Azure Solutions Architect Expert certification.
- HashiCorp Certified: Terraform Associate certification.
- Expertise in Azure workloads, Well-Architected Framework, and Landing Zones.
- Extensive experience authoring modular Terraform code and managing state at scale.
- Proficiency in CI/CD pipelines using GitHub Actions and Azure DevOps.
Good to have
- Practical knowledge of Microsoft RBAC, Managed Identities, and Key Vaults.
- Experience with Agile/Scrum delivery practices and GitOps workflows.
- Familiarity with ITIL v4 processes and operational incident management.
- Strong stakeholder management and communication skills.
