You will also collaborate with subject-matter experts, work responsibly with AI-assisted tools, manage content in the CMS, and monitor user feedback and performance to keep coverage fresh and accurate.
Responsibilities
- Pitch, research, write, edit, publish, and refresh content across pregnancy, parenting, and related stages.
- Translate complex information and expert guidance into approachable, empathetic material.
- Follow editorial standards for fact-checking, medical review, brand voice, and accessibility.
- Apply SEO best practices and audience insights to headlines, briefs, structure, and updates.
- Partner with medical contributors and subject-matter experts to review and refine content.
- Use AI-assisted tools responsibly while independently verifying facts, originality, and quality.
- Manage content in the CMS, maintaining clean metadata, links, and publication hygiene.
- Collaborate across teams on integrated initiatives while maintaining editorial integrity.
Requirements
- 4+ years of professional writing and editing experience in digital media, health, parenting, or related fields.
- Strong portfolio showing accurate, engaging, audience-centered service journalism or educational content.
- Working knowledge of SEO, content management systems, analytics, and content optimization.
- Excellent research, interviewing, fact-checking, copyediting, and structural-editing skills.
- Sound judgment when handling sensitive health, family, identity, or life-stage topics.
- Comfort collaborating with experts and incorporating medical, legal, and editorial feedback.
