Anaplan is looking for a curious and team-focused Engineer II to join their dynamic engineering team in Gurugram, India. In this role, you will work as a full-stack developer to build and maintain backend services and user-facing analytics experiences. Your normal day involves developing robust web UIs and REST APIs, implementing CI/CD pipelines, writing tests, using SQL or PySpark to investigate source data, and collaborating closely with product, data, and platform partners to deliver reliable operational insights. You will write services primarily in Python and React, while enjoying opportunities to engage with modern platforms like Databricks. Responsibilities

• Build and support scalable REST services in Python.
• Develop and enhance web frontend features using React and TypeScript for analytics experiences.
• Implement and manage CI/CD pipelines for services, jobs, and UI delivery.
• Write robust tests across UI and backend layers to ensure reliability and performance.
• Use SQL or PySpark to investigate underlying source data.
• Collaborate with product, data, and platform partners to deliver BI and analytics features.
• Work in a team-focused environment with a data-driven mindset.

Requirements

• 3+ years of experience in a software engineering role with full-stack exposure, or strong backend/data experience with proven frontend delivery.
• Solid programming skills in Python.
• Experience building or consuming REST services.
• Hands-on experience with a modern frontend stack such as React and TypeScript.
• Familiarity with CI/CD principles and tools.
• Working knowledge of SQL.
• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field, or equivalent practical experience.

Good to have

• Experience with cloud platforms like AWS, GCP, or Azure.
• Knowledge of Docker and Kubernetes.
• Familiarity with observability tools including monitoring, logging, and alerting.
• Experience supporting high-uptime, production-grade systems.
• Experience with Spring Boot and data science tools.
