Anaplan is hiring an Engineer III to join its dynamic engineering team in Gurugram, India. Anaplan develops an AI-infused scenario planning and analysis platform that helps major global corporations optimize their business decision-making. As part of this role, you will work as a full-stack software engineer focusing on backend services and user-facing analytics experiences. A normal day in this position involves designing and building robust REST APIs using Python, developing responsive web user interfaces with React and TypeScript, and ensuring seamless data delivery for internal and external users. You will also take on a leadership role by mentoring junior developers, driving technical approaches for UI and API delivery, investigating performance and scalability issues across the entire stack, and partnering closely with various stakeholders to translate business needs into reliable technical solutions.

Responsibilities

• Architect and develop high-performance REST services in Python.
• Lead the design and delivery of frontend features for analytics and diagnostics UIs using React and TypeScript.
• Own the strategy and execution of CI/CD for automated deployments.
• Champion test development across API and UI layers and mentor team members.
• Partner with product, analytics, and platform stakeholders to deliver end-to-end technical solutions.
• Lead the investigation of correctness, performance, and scalability issues across the stack.
• Take accountability for the health and scalability of the systems in scope.

Requirements

• 5+ years of experience in software engineering with a track record of technical leadership and full-stack delivery.
• Expert-level programming skills in Python.
• Deep experience designing and building scalable REST services.
• Strong experience with modern frontend development including React and TypeScript.
• Proven success with automated CI/CD pipelines.
• Strong experience with Terraform for infrastructure automation.
• Advanced SQL, notebook, and Pandas experience for data validation and debugging.
• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field, or equivalent practical experience.

Good to have

• Deep experience with cloud platforms like AWS, GCP, or Azure and cloud-native design.
• Strong understanding of Kubernetes and Docker in production.
• Experience implementing modern observability stacks such as Prometheus, Grafana, or ELK.
• Experience building productized BI experiences from the ground up.
• Exposure to Spark, Databricks, distributed data processing frameworks, or Spring Boot.
