The Engineering Lead for the AI COE role involves driving technical strategy, architecture standards, and advanced development for the Global Cloud Apps and AI program. Reporting to the AI CoE Lead, the person in this position will guide a team of engineers to deliver custom AI products and enhance global cloud apps within budget and on time. A normal day for the Engineering Lead at WPP involves defining architecture standards, conducting research spikes on new tools, leading code reviews, handling complex development tasks, and collaborating with leadership to align technical roadmaps with business objectives while ensuring security and compliance.

Responsibilities

• Define and maintain global architecture standards and design patterns for Microsoft cloud, AI, and Power Platform solutions.
• Lead and mentor a development crew, providing hands-on guidance, solution reviews, and technical oversight.
• Handle complex development requirements and research spikes to evaluate new features and frameworks.
• Own and optimize M365 Copilot and Power Platform Application Lifecycle Management processes using modern DevOps practices.
• Design efficient Cloud Flows utilizing REST API integration, JSON manipulation, and XPath.
• Oversee Dataverse environment integrity and build sophisticated business logic using the Web API and Plugins.
• Ensure all automation solutions adhere to strict data governance, security policies, and DLP policies.

Requirements

• 12+ years of overall experience in IT engineering, software development, or technical architecture.
• Focus on Power Platform, D365, or JS full-stack development involving Dataverse and Azure.
• Mastery of AI-assisted software development tools like Claude Code, Cursor, GitHub Copilot, and associated methodologies.
• Experience with Microsoft Agent Framework, Autogen, Semantic Kernel, or similar frameworks.
• Expert proficiency in the full Power Platform suite including Model-driven Apps, Dataverse, and Power Automate.
• Expert-level understanding of automated deployment pipelines, environment variables, and solution segmentation.
• Mandatory PL-600 Microsoft Power Platform Solution Architect certification.

• AI-102 Microsoft Azure AI Engineer Associate certification.
• AZ-204 Developing Solutions for Microsoft Azure certification.
