As an Inside Sales Engineer based in Bangalore, your primary mission is to remotely support US-based Sales Engineering Managers and Sales Engineers. You will assist with vital pre-sales engagements, focusing heavily on executing proofs of concept (POCs) and technical demonstrations. A normal day in this role involves collaborating on pre-sales activities, handling documentation, managing RFI and RFP responses, conducting requirement gathering, and performing technical research. You will work closely with enterprise clients to showcase how Commvault's automated solutions ensure data availability and security across cloud and on-premise workloads. This position requires strong technical expertise in cloud platforms, networking, and storage systems, along with the flexibility to operate in permanent night shifts to align with the US market.

Responsibilities

• Remotely support US market sales engineering teams with pre-sales and sales engagements
• Focus on executing proofs of concept (POCs) and delivering technical product demonstrations
• Prepare documentation, technical overview documents, architecture layout documents, and RFI/RFP responses
• Conduct client discovery sessions and thorough requirement gathering for prospective customers
• Perform necessary technical research to address customer use cases and challenges
• Engage with customers directly in a professional, customer-facing capacity

Requirements

• 5+ years of hands-on technical support or data backup and recovery experience
• Focus area in cloud platforms such as Azure, AWS, and GCP
• Strong foundation in technology, cybersecurity basics, computer networking, and OSI layer protocols
• Working knowledge of Active Directory, DNS, TCP, and UDP
• Configuration and troubleshooting experience with networking, storage, hypervisors, and container solutions
• Experience with databases including MSSQL, MySQL, Oracle, SAP, PostgreSQL, and MongoDB
• Prior experience in customer-facing roles delivering demos and pilots of cybersecurity solutions
• Excellent written and verbal English communication skills with strong presentation abilities

Good to have

• Proficiency in CRM applications like Salesforce and Dynamics 365
• Hands-on exposure to Commvault, Rubrik, Veeam, Cohesity, Dell, NetApp, or Pure Storage technologies
• Relevant industry certifications in cloud platforms and AI
• Ability to speak additional languages such as French, German, or Spanish
