As a Lead Applied Value Engineer at Celonis in Bangalore, India, you will play a crucial role in solving critical business problems for strategic customers. Celonis provides a trusted platform that industrializes Enterprise AI by combining process data and business knowledge into a living digital twin of the enterprise through its Process Intelligence platform. In this full-time role, your team helps global companies bridge operational blind spots, unlocking real ROI on AI deployments. A normal day involves leading AI discovery and solutioning, participating in hackathons to prototype creative solutions, supporting agentic process transformations, executing end-to-end proof-of-value projects, and ensuring successful project outcomes alongside key enterprise stakeholders.

Responsibilities

• Understand customer AI strategies and translate business challenges into innovative technical solutions.
• Build rapid prototypes and participate in customer hackathons using advanced AI technologies.
• Support customers in achieving high ROI by shifting toward autonomous AI agents using Process Intelligence.
• Execute end-to-end Proof-Value projects including architecture and secure RAG-based systems.
• Stay involved with projects until agreed adoption and value thresholds are fully met.
• Specialize in specific domains such as supply chain or industries like Energy, Oil & Gas.

Requirements

• 9+ years of experience leading technical pre-sales, defining AI roadmaps, and prototyping solutions.
• Specific industry experience in Energy, Oil & Gas, or Utilities.
• Understanding of generative AI techniques including RAG, prompt engineering, and multi-agent orchestration.
• Knowledge of business processes across sectors like Supply Chain or Finance.
• Good proficiency in Python and common ML libraries like LangChain, pandas, and PyTorch.
• Strong presentation skills suited for communicating with executives and external stakeholders.
• Bachelor's Degree required.

Good to have

• Hands-on experience building agentic systems using LLM orchestration and function calling.
• Working knowledge of LLM ecosystem tools such as LlamaIndex or other open-source packages.
• Experience deploying and monitoring models at scale across major cloud platforms like AWS Bedrock, Azure AI, or GCP Vertex.
