As a Principal Product Manager for AI Build Governance at OneTrust in Bengaluru, India, you will shape developer-facing products within the rapidly emerging AI governance category. OneTrust builds technology platforms that unify regulatory intelligence, automation, and connected governance workflows, helping thousands of organizations worldwide innovate responsibly with data and AI. In this role, you will own the early success and growing adoption of governance tooling and checks embedded directly into the AI development lifecycle—from writing prompts and wiring up retrieval to testing and shipping systems. A normal day involves defining product strategy, translating governance needs into technical controls, prototyping with modern AI tools, and collaborating closely with dedicated engineering, UX, product marketing, and sales engineering teams to drive measurable developer adoption and retention.

Responsibilities

• Define and own the product strategy, roadmap, and packaging for developer-facing AI governance products.
• Translate governance requirements into technical requirements, tests, and controls for developers.
• Own the end-to-end developer experience, including SDK design, APIs, documentation, samples, and CI/CD integration.
• Work alongside design partners and early access customers to validate product direction with real engineering teams.
• Partner with Product Marketing and Sales Engineering on product positioning, launches, and technical narratives.
• Drive outcomes including developer adoption, integration depth, and influenced revenue and retention.

Requirements

• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related technical field, or equivalent practical experience.
• 12+ years of product management experience in enterprise software with end-to-end technical product ownership.
• Demonstrated success taking new products from concept to shipped, adopted, and generating revenue.
• Strong working knowledge of the modern AI stack including LLMs, agents, tool calling, RAG pipelines, and prompts.
• Familiarity with AI evaluation practices such as benchmarking, offline/online evaluation, red teaming, and safety testing.
• Proven ability to partner with Engineering, UX, Security, and Legal while earning technical credibility.
• Exceptional communication skills to articulate vision, create alignment, and represent new products.

Good to have

• Experience building developer tools or platforms like SDKs, APIs, CLIs, IDE extensions, or CI/CD integrations.
• Fluency using AI tools to build products, prototype in code, build evals, and ship AI-assisted workflows.
• Hands-on experience with AI security or safety controls such as guardrails, prompt injection defenses, and content filtering.
• Familiarity with AI regulations and frameworks like the EU AI Act, NIST AI RMF, and ISO 42001.
• Experience with design partner programs, early access programs, or developer relations.
