Senior Analyst - RTR

WPP, a trusted growth partner for leading global brands that unites media intelligence, data solutions, creativity, and strategic counsel, is hiring a Senior Analyst - RTR in Mumbai. In this role, you will be an integral part of the team managing general ledger activities to ensure accurate financial operations. A typical day involves handling general ledger accounting, performing month-end closing tasks without discrepancies, preparing journal entries, and conducting balance sheet and P&L reviews. You will also coordinate with auditors, ensure SOX compliance, and resolve queries from internal teams, agencies, and regional stakeholders via emails and calls. Working in a collaborative hybrid setup from the Vikhroli office on a general shift starting at 11:00 am, you will support financial reporting and help the business maintain smooth day-to-day accounting processes.

Responsibilities

• Handle general ledger accounting and month-end closing activities.
• Prepare journal entries, reconciliations, and financial reports.
• Manage monthly and quarterly P&L and Balance Sheet preparations with schedules.
• Conduct monthly analysis of financial items and report variances to management.
• Address and resolve all general ledger queries from various internal teams and agencies.
• Ensure adherence to internal controls, audit needs, and SOX compliance.
• Coordinate with auditors and provide required schedules for interim audits.

Requirements

• Semi-qualified CA with 3 to 4 years of experience, or Commerce graduate with 6+ years of experience.
• Strong understanding of GL Accounting and RTR processes.
• Ability to manage general ledger activities and discrepancy-free month-end closures.
• Capability to prepare P&L, Balance Sheet, and financial schedules.
• Experience in handling audit requirements and SOX compliance.
• Proficiency in resolving stakeholder queries via calls and emails.
