Solvd, a growing AI-native technology and consulting services firm, is seeking a Senior Data Engineer for its team in Pune, India. The company delivers enterprise transformation across cloud, data, and artificial intelligence, helping clients solve complex business challenges. In this role, you will help migrate a live production SaaS data platform from a legacy ETL and streaming pipeline to a Snowflake Native Application designed for self-serve distribution and per-tenant data isolation. Rather than starting from scratch, you will work from an audited legacy system, analyzing existing architecture and redesigning it to handle multi-tenant constraints and scale. A normal day involves re-architecting ingestion pathways, translating legacy transformation logic, addressing technical debt, rebuilding core data models in Snowflake, validating pipeline designs against actual production data loads, and documenting all migration decisions for internal teams, customers, and marketplace reviews.

Responsibilities

• Re-architect data ingestion to move processes natively into each customer's Snowflake account for data sovereignty.
• Migrate legacy transformation logic for activity, meeting, network, and system metadata into Snowflake-native pipelines.
• Design data models and pipeline logic supporting a cross-account, multi-tenant distribution model with strict tenant boundaries.
• Address technical debt by evaluating legacy shared credentials, configuration limitations, and data-capture inconsistencies.
• Rebuild core data models while preserving critical business analytics and shifting storage and processing to Snowflake.
• Validate new pipeline designs against discovered production data patterns including batch sizes and sync frequencies.
• Document migration choices clearly for internal defense, downstream clients, and formal marketplace review processes.

Requirements

• 5+ years of data engineering experience with hands-on Snowflake usage, including native transformation and orchestration.
• Practical background in migrating a live production ETL pipeline to a cloud-native target destination.
• Working familiarity with streaming and event-driven data pipelines.
• Ability to analyze security models such as encryption, key management, and multi-tenant secret handling.
• Familiarity with major cloud provider function or PaaS services for interoperability during the transition phase.
• Experience designing data isolation for multi-tenant SaaS platforms using row-level security or schema-per-tenant patterns.

Good to have

• Experience building and distributing applications through cloud data platform marketplaces or listings.
• Background in workforce analytics, activity monitoring, or behavioral and event data domains.
• Exposure to migrating BI tooling alongside underlying data platform moves.
