Redwood Software is seeking a Senior Engineering Manager for its Product engineering team based in Hyderabad, Telangana. Redwood specializes in full stack automation fabric solutions, offering the first SaaS-based composable automation platform designed specifically for ERP. The company empowers global customers to manage, orchestrate, and monitor critical business workflows seamlessly across cloud and on-premises environments. In this full-time role, you will lead a talented software engineering team, guide technical strategies for the Workload Automation Platform, and mentor team members. A typical day involves coaching engineers, overseeing sprint planning and project delivery, participating in design reviews for Java and Spring Boot microservices, and researching AI and machine learning integrations to enhance platform capabilities. You will also collaborate closely with cross-functional teams to ensure the development of secure, scalable software that drives enterprise data exchange for customers worldwide.

Responsibilities

• Manage, mentor, and grow a team of software engineers while fostering an inclusive culture.
• Drive technical strategy and provide architectural guidance for Java and Spring Boot microservices.
• Oversee sprint planning, team execution, and delivery timelines for core platform features.
• Research and apply AI and machine learning concepts to improve Managed File Transfer and Workload Automation products.
• Ensure high standards for security, architecture, and observability across cloud deployments.
• Participate in design reviews and define long-term technical roadmaps.

Requirements

• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field.
• 15+ years of professional software engineering experience.
• At least 4 years of direct people management experience leading engineering teams.
• Strong proficiency in Java, Spring Boot, REST APIs, OOP, and design patterns.
• Extensive experience with cloud platforms, preferably AWS, including networking and security.
• Expertise in building distributed SaaS systems, microservices, APIs, and Kubernetes.
• Solid understanding of modern DevOps practices like CI/CD, Terraform, and automated platform management.

Good to have

• Experience with Amazon EKS for container orchestration and cluster operations.
• In-depth knowledge of enterprise file transfer protocols such as SFTP, FTPS, and AS2.
• Familiarity with agile development methodologies including Scrum and Kanban.
• Experience with large-scale enterprise application integration, preferably involving SAP.
