As a Senior Financial Systems Analyst at Fivetran in Bengaluru, you will drive the transition from manual, repetitive legacy work to automated models, dashboards, and data feeds. Your day-to-day work involves partnering with FP&A to redesign planning and forecasting processes, building new Pigment models, writing Python scripts, and training AI agents to handle tedious tasks automatically. Fivetran and dbt Labs are bringing together two industry-leading companies to deliver the data infrastructure layer that helps organizations move, transform, and trust their data. You will own the trustworthiness of financial data, build systematic data-quality checks, and collaborate with the Data and Analytics Engineering team to resolve upstream data issues. Additionally, you will document your models clearly so that other analysts can self-serve basic changes without manual workarounds.

Responsibilities

• Partner with FP&A business partners to identify manual finance work that can be streamlined and automated using Pigment integrations, Python scripts, and AI agents.
• Own the end-to-end build of new and migrated Pigment models, including data blocks, formulas, workflows, dashboards, and views.
• Collaborate on the design and maintenance of Pigment architecture to keep tools easy-to-navigate and avoid a tangled mess of metrics.
• Build durable integrations between Pigment, BigQuery, and other finance systems with the Finance Systems team.
• Implement systematic data-quality checks, reconciliations, change monitoring, and variance alerts.
• Document builds clearly so finance analysts without Pigment or Python backgrounds can self-serve basic changes.
• Partner with the Data and Analytics Engineering team for new data connections or upstream data fixes.

Requirements

• 5+ years of experience in financial systems, FP&A, or analytics engineering, with hands-on work in an EPM platform or analytics engineering background with a strong interest in EPM work.
• Proven experience using AI agents or LLM tooling to automate finance workflows.
• Ability to translate messy descriptions from finance stakeholders into well-scoped technical plans.
• Working proficiency in Python, or willingness and ability to learn via Claude Code or Codex.
• Strong SQL skills and comfort working in a cloud data warehouse like BigQuery.
• High attention to detail to audit models and build intuition on outputs.
• Strong communication skills to explain data discrepancies or modeling trade-offs to non-technical stakeholders.

Good to have

• Prior experience inside an FP&A or corporate finance function supporting Sales, R&D, or G&A finance.
• Experience building Sales Capacity, Planning, or Supply Chain models in Pigment, Anaplan, or similar platforms.
• Familiarity with BI tools such as Tableau, Looker, Sigma, or Omni.
• Experience with dbt or another data-transformation framework.
