About this job
As a Senior Program Manager at Fivetran in Bengaluru, you will lead complex engineering programs and cross-functional initiatives from initiation to closure. Fivetran and dbt Labs work together to build the data infrastructure layer that helps organizations move, transform, and trust their data for analytics and AI. On a normal day, you will plan and schedule programs, drive execution, track metrics, surface and mitigate risks, and communicate with partners across engineering and other business units. You will use tools like Jira, G Suite, AI LLMs, and Looker to align teams, resolve conflicts, and ensure timely delivery of high-quality solutions that meet customer needs in India.
Responsibilities
- Manage key engineering projects and programs from initiation to closing.
- Define program charters, plans, and schedules while driving execution.
- Lead internal cross-functional teams in engineering and validation activities.
- Identify, resolve, and mitigate risks, defects, and interdependencies.
- Work closely with product management, data analytics, enablement, and support.
- Track and report on PMO KPIs and program metrics.
- Surface feedback and champion project management best practices.
Requirements
- 4+ years of experience in technical project or program management.
- 1+ years of experience in a technical position such as software or platform engineering.
- Experience with both Agile and waterfall methodologies.
- Familiarity with project management tools like Jira.
- Ability to lead large and complex initiatives with minimal oversight.
- Proficiency in AI LLMs and AI Agents usage.
- Excellent verbal and written communication and presentation skills.
Good to have
- Start-up experience.
- PMP certification.
- Familiarity with cloud service providers like AWS, GCP, and Azure.
- Knowledge of ETL, ELT, or the modern data stack.
- Software project management experience.
