As a Senior Manager, Engineering at MongoDB in Bengaluru, you will help build a new platform designed to simplify AI application development for customers. Responsibilities
- Provide technical leadership and mentorship to foster a culture of innovation and quality
- Drive the architectural vision for the platform across public clouds, private clouds, and on-premise environments
- Collaborate with product, design, and analytics teams to define, prioritize, and deliver new features
- Manage the planning and execution of major features while addressing delivery risks
- Own monitoring, operations, and maintenance for systems developed by your team
- Remove technical obstacles, coordinate dependencies, and prioritize overall team well-being
- Contribute to organizational growth planning, resource allocation, hiring, and project assignments
Requirements
- 10+ years of experience building distributed systems or foundational cloud services at scale
- Experience using programming languages such as Python, Golang, Java, or Rust
- 4+ years of experience managing a team of 6+ engineers and providing technical leadership
- Track record in hiring, mentoring, and growing high-performing software engineering teams
- Experience working with remote teams and a passion for career development
- Excellent verbal and written technical communication skills for collaboration
- Strong background in building core components for high-scale compute or data processing and distributed systems
- Experience leading the launch of new features and maintaining them in production
