Senior Sales Compensation Engineer

MongoDB is looking for a Senior Sales Compensation Engineer to join its growing Fintech Team in Bengaluru or Gurugram. This visible role supports the company's rapid growth by focusing on the administration and analysis of global sales incentive plans. MongoDB empowers customers and people to innovate through its modern, globally distributed data platform designed for the AI era. A normal day in this role involves acting as a subject matter expert for commissions processing and the Xactly product suite. You will design, configure, and manage the platform, gather business requirements, write rules, analyze results, troubleshoot issues, and collaborate closely with cross-functional Sales Operations and Finance teams. Duties also include building technical solutions, testing, documenting processes, and performing ad-hoc reporting to deliver business insights. Weekend availability is required during quarter-end close and annual plan implementation periods.

Responsibilities

• Serve as the subject matter expert for commissions processing, commission plan components, and the Xactly product suite
• Gather business requirements and design, configure, manage, and deploy solutions on the Xactly platform
• Write rules, analyze results, troubleshoot issues, and trace unexpected outcomes to their root causes
• Partner with Sales Operations and Finance teams for user acceptance testing, demos, and user training
• Document system configurations, payment administrative processes, and system changes
• Perform ad-hoc reporting and analysis to provide valuable business insights
• Coordinate with ETL and Xactly Data Warehouse teams to implement commission data changes

Requirements

• Bachelor's or Master's degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, or a related field
• 5+ years of professional experience working with and building Sales Compensation systems in a fast-paced environment
• Current Xactly Incent certification such as Incent Level 3 certification
• 3 to 5 years of experience querying traditional SQL relational database management systems
• Xactly Incent platform development experience covering configuration, testing, deployment, and support
• Strong software design experience paired with solid business relationship and partnership skills
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills with a collaborative mindset

Good to have

• Experience with the Xactly product suite or competitive alternatives like SAP CallidusCloud, IBM Varicent, Anaplan, Optymyze, or Pigment
• Experience designing and maintaining planning models in Anaplan or Pigment including quota planning, territory planning, and account segmentation
