As a Senior Software Engineer for Android based in Bengaluru, you will join a fast-paced environment dedicated to customer happiness and payment industry leadership. Your primary focus will be on designing, developing, and maintaining high-performance Point-of-Sale terminal solutions. A normal day in this full-time role involves writing clean code, collaborating with cross-functional teams, implementing Kotlin and Java practices, optimizing application performance, debugging software issues, participating in Agile processes, and mentoring junior team members to ensure top-tier mobile architecture.

Responsibilities

• Design, develop, test, automate, and maintain Android-based POS payment applications using Java and Kotlin.
• Apply domain engineering concepts to maximize reusability across a family of Android POS devices.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to define, design, and deliver new application features.
• Optimize application performance, memory usage, and battery efficiency while ensuring high-quality UI/UX.
• Implement and maintain MVVM or MVP architecture, dependency injection, and RESTful APIs.
• Debug and resolve software defects to guarantee application stability and secure operations.
• Mentor and guide junior developers and participate in code reviews and Agile sprint planning.

Requirements

• 6+ years of experience in Android development.
• Strong proficiency in Java with a solid understanding of Kotlin concepts.
• Strong knowledge of architectural patterns like MVVM, MVP, or Clean Architecture.
• Experience with modularization, dependency injection, and reactive programming.
• Proficiency in Git, CI/CD pipelines, and Agile methodologies.
• Strong knowledge of networking concepts such as TCP/IP, HTTP, HTTPS, Web Sockets, and SSL/TLS.
• Experience integrating secure authentication mechanisms like OAuth, JWT, and token-based authentication.
• Knowledge of unit testing and automation testing frameworks including JUnit, Espresso, and Mockito.
