MongoDB is seeking a Solutions Architect to focus on large, high-value pursuits and complex strategic bids exclusively with Global System Integrators. The company builds a modern data platform designed for the AI era, helping over 67,000 customers modernize legacy workloads, embrace innovation, and unleash artificial intelligence through its cloud-native platform, MongoDB Atlas. In this role, the successful candidate will operate across MongoDB, GSI partners, sales teams, delivery organizations, and executive stakeholders to develop compelling joint solutions, strengthen technical win strategies, and drive successful outcomes for large transformation programs. A normal day involves leading technical architecture and solution strategy, partnering with internal and external teams for coordinated pursuits, developing joint value propositions, facilitating architecture workshops and proof-of-value activities, translating customer business outcomes into scalable architectures, and identifying technical risks or competitive threats early in the bid lifecycle.

Responsibilities

• Lead the technical architecture and solution strategy for large, complex, and strategic bids with Global System Integrators.
• Partner with internal teams and executive sponsors to deliver coordinated pursuits and technical proposals.
• Facilitate technical discovery, architecture workshops, solution reviews, and executive presentations.
• Translate customer business outcomes into scalable MongoDB-based architectures and partner delivery models.
• Identify technical risks, competitive threats, delivery constraints, and commercial considerations early in the bid lifecycle.
• Create reusable bid assets, reference architectures, and technical content for future pursuits.
• Support deal qualification, opportunity prioritization, and account planning activities.

Requirements

• Experience in a customer-facing Solutions Architect, Presales Architect, Consulting Architect, or equivalent role.
• Experience supporting complex enterprise bids, tenders, RFPs, or strategic pursuits.
• Proven ability to design and communicate distributed, scalable, secure, and highly available architectures.
• Experience working with Global System Integrators, including sales, consulting, architecture, and delivery teams.
• Strong understanding of cloud platforms, modern application architectures, microservices, APIs, data platforms, and DevOps.
• Ability to manage multiple stakeholders, work under tight deadlines, and drive outcomes in ambiguous situations.
• Bachelor’s degree or equivalent practical experience.

Good to have

• Experience with MongoDB, Atlas, relational database modernization, or NoSQL technologies.
• MongoDB certification or certification with a major cloud provider.
• Experience with AWS, Microsoft Azure, or Google Cloud.
• Familiarity with enterprise sales methodologies such as MEDDPICC or Command of the Message.
• Experience leading technical workstreams in multi-year, multi-million-dollar pursuits.
