As a Staff Solutions Engineer based in Mumbai, you will serve as a technical leader combining DevOps, AIOps, FinOps, management, sales, and system integration. You will guide partners and enterprise customers through architectural hurdles and act as a trusted advisor showing the value of the Kong platform. A normal day in this role involves leading technical discussions, building custom demos and proof-of-concept projects, driving automation adoption, troubleshooting issues using Linux, Docker, and Git, and collaborating closely with sales, engineering, and product teams.

Responsibilities

• Lead technical presentations and discussions with enterprise clients to understand business and architectural needs.
• Develop and execute proof-of-concept projects and custom demonstrations highlighting platform capabilities.
• Provide expert SRE Observability guidance to help customers monitor and optimize API infrastructure.
• Troubleshoot complex technical issues and offer advanced support using Linux, Docker, and Git.
• Drive automation technology adoption for efficient API lifecycle management.
• Collaborate with internal teams to share market feedback and mentor junior solutions engineers.
• Manage multiple projects concurrently and communicate complex technical concepts to diverse audiences.

Requirements

• Solid AIOps experience and/or solid Kafka experience.
• 10+ years of experience in a solutions engineering, technical architect, or similar customer-facing role.
• Demonstrated expertise in API design and management principles.
• Strong understanding of authentication mechanisms and cybersecurity best practices.
• Proficiency with Linux operating systems and containerization technologies like Docker.
• Extensive experience with Git and CI/CD pipelines and tools.
• Deep knowledge of SRE observability tools, SDLC, and automation technology.
• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related technical field, or equivalent practical experience.

Good to have

• Familiarity with AI trends, AI journey involvement, orchestration tools, Agentic AI, and agent building.
