As a Supervisor - Global Payroll based in Chennai, you will join the Global Payroll Team to support business growth in an increasingly regulated environment. In this role, you will lead the finance payroll team and ensure that compensation, benefits, deductions, and statutory filings are processed accurately and on time. A normal day for you involves overseeing payroll runs, reviewing complex cases like expatriate payroll and tax, driving standard work instructions, managing stakeholder collaboration, daily bank reconciliations, and ensuring strict compliance with financial regulations and internal governance standards.

Responsibilities

• Manage payroll processing and ensure statutory compliance and accuracy of payments.
• Review and approve payroll runs before final sign-off.
• Handle complex payroll cases including tax, retro, and expatriate payroll.
• Coordinate with HR, Finance, vendors, and external auditors.
• Ensure daily bank reconciliations and maintain financial accuracy.
• Lead, manage, and mentor the finance payroll team for optimal performance.
• Act as a key liaison between the India SSC and Global finance teams.

Requirements

• 8 to 10 years of end-to-end payroll experience including team leadership.
• Hands-on experience with payroll platforms such as ADP EV6, ADP WorkforceNow, or SD Worx.
• Strong understanding of global payroll controls and compliance.
• Significant experience in a shared services setting across Finance or HR in a leadership role.
• Experience managing multi-entity and multi-currency financial operations in a multinational environment.
• Proficiency in English with excellent written and verbal communication skills.
• Strong organizational, analytical, problem-solving, and project management skills.

Good to have

• Hands-on experience with HCM and service management platforms like Workday and ServiceNow.
• Experience with service request ticketing systems.
