As a Technical Account Manager at MongoDB in Bengaluru, you will be part of an early team helping to pioneer a brand-new service offering. MongoDB is a company focused on reinventing the database, allowing businesses to work with data easily. In this role, you will be at the forefront of solving complex technical problems for key customers who build on the MongoDB platform. A normal day involves engaging deeply with major clients, building strong relationships with technical leaders, and guiding them on architecture, performance, recovery, and security. You will lead systematic engagement processes, develop shared roadmaps, anticipate customer needs, and act as a bridge between clients and the internal product team to share feedback and new requirements. You will also mentor team members and help shape the technical relationship strategies for marquee accounts while operating within a hybrid work model.

Responsibilities

• Cultivate customer confidence and drive positive, account-wide technical outcomes for major MongoDB users.
• Engage systematically with clients through deep discovery and shared objective roadmaps.
• Solve complex issues related to architecture, performance, recovery, and security at scale.
• Act as a bridge between customers and MongoDB product teams to share new requirements and opportunities.
• Mentor and ramp new team members while building knowledge of new product lines.
• Communicate effectively with internal and external stakeholders, especially during critical or escalated situations.
• Design and follow structured problem-solving approaches for enterprise-level technical issues.

Requirements

• 7+ years of relevant experience.
• Strong technical communication and account leadership skills across all customer levels.
• Experience building, maintaining, tuning, and troubleshooting sophisticated mission-critical production database systems.
• Familiarity with modern service architectures and development patterns typical of large enterprises.
• Experience using a cloud services stack such as AWS, Azure, or GCP.
• Ability to work independently and cross-functionally to meet customer needs.
• Capacity to think on your feet, solve problems in real-time, and project calm leadership during escalations.

Good to have

• Experience managing large scale databases like RDBMS or NoSQL, including MongoDB.
• Extensive experience with mass scale application architectures, microservices, and serverless architectures.
• Familiarity with CI/CD tools, containerization, and orchestration tools.
• Experience with enterprise identity platforms and distributed version control systems like Git.
• Strong systems engineering and troubleshooting experience, including Linux performance and networking.
