Redwood Software is looking for a Technical Lead to join their team in Hyderabad, Telangana, India. Redwood specializes in full stack automation fabric solutions, offering a SaaS-based composable automation platform built for ERP to help customers manage mission-critical business processes across cloud and on-premises environments. In this role, you will be part of the Product engineering team, providing technical leadership for the Workload Automation Platform. A normal day in this position involves defining architecture, driving software modernization, leading design reviews, and guiding technology decisions. You will also collaborate closely with product, QA, and other engineering groups, research AI and machine learning integrations for product capabilities, and ensure the development of scalable, secure software that supports enterprise data exchange for global customers.

Responsibilities

• Provide technical leadership for the Workload Automation Platform and define the architecture for complex engineering challenges.
• Establish engineering best practices, lead design reviews, and guide technology decisions across teams.
• Drive the architecture, security, compliance, and observability of Java and Spring Boot microservices.
• Own the core platform and infrastructure, focusing on scalability, resilience, and communication between components.
• Collaborate with Product, QA, and other engineering groups to ensure successful product delivery.
• Research and apply AI and machine learning concepts to enhance Managed File Transfer and Workload Automation capabilities.
• Mentor engineering peers and team members to excel in their technical capabilities.

Requirements

• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field.
• 12+ years of professional software engineering experience focusing on high-scale products and platforms.
• Strong proficiency in Java, Spring Boot, REST APIs, object-oriented programming, and design patterns.
• Extensive experience architecting and managing solutions on cloud platforms, with AWS preferred.
• Expertise in building distributed SaaS systems, microservices, APIs, and Kubernetes.
• Understanding of modern DevOps practices including CI/CD and Infrastructure as Code using Terraform.
• Familiarity with enterprise file transfer and secure communication protocols.

Good to have

• Practical experience or conceptual understanding of applying AI and ML techniques to solve engineering problems.
• Mastery of EKS and container orchestration cluster operations.
• Knowledge of agile development methodologies such as Scrum and Kanban.
• Experience with large-scale enterprise application integration, preferably with SAP.
