The company builds software that enables major global brands to get their products chosen across commerce platforms. As a Cloud Ops Engineer II, you will join the team to support and maintain Syndigo's global SaaS platform, guaranteeing high availability, strong performance, and robust security. A normal day in this role involves monitoring live production environments, troubleshooting complex technical issues, managing cloud infrastructure across AWS and Azure, and handling incident management processes. You will collaborate closely with various cross-functional teams, participate in 24x7 rotational shifts, communicate with customers during updates or outages, and utilize modern observability tools to ensure a seamless operational experience.

Responsibilities

• Provide ongoing production support, system monitoring, and troubleshooting to ensure SaaS platform reliability.
• Manage cloud infrastructure across both AWS and Azure environments.
• Resolve operational issues involving Linux, Kubernetes, Docker Swarm, Kafka, Elasticsearch, and related technologies.
• Utilize observability tools like Grafana, ELK, Prometheus, Zabbix, and Jenkins to catch problems early.
• Participate in incident, problem, backup, security, and disaster recovery management processes.
• Coordinate customer communications during system upgrades, hotfixes, and unexpected outages.
• Perform root cause analysis and create clear technical runbooks and documentation.

Requirements

• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, Information Technology, or a related field.
• At least 2 years of professional experience in Cloud Operations, Site Reliability, or Production Support.
• Hands-on experience supporting SaaS applications hosted on AWS or Azure.
• Strong background in Linux administration and system troubleshooting.
• Familiarity with Kubernetes, Docker Swarm, Kafka, Elasticsearch, Nginx, and MSSQL.
• Experience using log management and monitoring tools such as Grafana, ELK, or Prometheus.
• Willingness to work in a 24x7 rotational shift environment from the Bangalore location.

Good to have

• Exposure to Shell Scripting and Python.
• Familiarity with ticketing platforms like Jira Service Management or ServiceNow.
• Experience troubleshooting REST APIs using tools like Postman.
