As an Engineering Manager at SiteMinder in Pune, you will play a key role in driving technical execution and leading software teams within the world's leading hotel commerce platform. SiteMinder builds technology that helps tens of thousands of hotels globally attract guests, manage bookings, and increase revenue. In this role, you will report to the Engineering Director and collaborate closely with product leaders to align the roadmap with business goals. A normal day involves guiding technical teams, planning and delivering complex projects, coaching and developing software engineers through regular one-on-ones, removing roadblocks, recruiting talent, and shaping engineering practices. You will help build innovative solutions using AI and tackle meaningful challenges in a collaborative, hybrid work environment.

Responsibilities

• Collaborate with leaders to establish the roadmap, goals, and workflow for the portfolio.
• Drive the execution and delivery of technical projects and roadmap items.
• Lead, coach, and manage the performance of high-performing software engineering teams.
• Recruit, onboard, and invest in the professional growth of technical team members.
• Ensure consistent software engineering practices, high-quality deliverables, and delivery methodologies.
• Remove roadblocks, delegate effectively, and foster a productive collaborative environment.
• Contribute to broader initiatives across the wider engineering organisation.

Requirements

• Experience leading and managing technical teams in a software or SaaS environment.
• Demonstrated experience in leading technically complex projects.
• Experience in hiring, performance evaluation, and career development for software engineers.
• Experience implementing processes to accelerate software development and enhance quality.
• Experience driving automation, efficiency, and adoption of AI engineering tools.
• In-depth understanding of Agile methodologies and tools like Jira and Confluence.
• Working knowledge of project and change management principles including scope and timelines.

• Experience working with geographically distributed and remote teams.

• Understanding and experience with high-volume, real-time systems.
