DevRev is hiring a Forward Deployed Architect in Mumbai to join their Applied AI Engineering team. DevRev builds Computer, an AI teammate platform that unifies data sources, tools, and workflows to provide real-time insights and agentic actions through Team Intelligence. In this role, you will serve as a senior technical architect owning end-to-end design and delivery of AI-driven transformation projects. A normal day involves working extensively with customers to scope technical requirements, translating business needs into architectural solutions, and driving hands-on coding to build proofs-of-concept, custom integrations, and agent-based AI solutions. You will collaborate closely with pre-sales, customer success, engineering, and product teams, acting as the technical owner of customer relationships while debugging complex integration challenges and optimizing agent performance.

Responsibilities

• Design, configure, and launch intelligent AI agents using the DevRev platform for customers.
• Integrate AI agents with external platforms including CRMs, APIs, and databases.
• Tune prompts, logic, and agent configurations to optimize performance, accuracy, and scalability.
• Translate customer requirements into technical agent specifications and detailed designs.
• Lead live demos, build rapid proofs-of-concept, and refine solutions based on feedback.
• Define project plans, align internal teams, and drive the execution of deployments.
• Act as a trusted technical advisor on AI agent architecture and long-term scalability.

Requirements

• 7+ years of experience in software development, AI/ML engineering, or technical consulting.
• Proficiency in programming languages such as TypeScript, JavaScript, and Python, along with data structures and algorithms.
• Understanding of applied AI concepts including LLMs, prompt engineering, RAG, function calling, and building evaluations.
• Hands-on experience with cloud platforms like AWS, GCP, or Azure, and modern DevOps practices.
• Experience with system integration via APIs, webhooks, and event or data pipelines.
• Strong written and verbal communication skills for technical and business stakeholders.
• Bachelor's or Master’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related technical field.
