DevRev is hiring a Forward Deployed Engineer in Chennai to join their team building Computer, an AI teammate platform that unifies workflows, data, and tools using AI and agentic actions. In this customer-facing role, you will work closely with pre- and post-sales Customer Experience teams to build solutions over the core platform. Your day-to-day responsibilities involve developing applications in TypeScript, JavaScript, and Python, building the Knowledge Graph, connecting systems via APIs and webhooks, and optimizing AI performance through prompt engineering and generative techniques. You will also create rapid proofs-of-concept, lead live technical demos, write SQL queries for data insights, and collaborate with cross-functional teams. This role requires significant customer interaction and a willingness to travel for on-site implementations and workshops, helping clients integrate DevRev into their existing tech stacks.

Responsibilities

• Design, develop, and launch AI agents, integrations, and automations connecting DevRev to customer workflows.
• Connect DevRev with SaaS and non-SaaS platforms through APIs, webhooks, and real-time communication architectures.
• Apply prompt engineering, fine-tune semantic search engines, and leverage generative AI to enhance agent accuracy.
• Write SQL queries, perform data analysis, and build dashboards to surface insights for customer decision-making.
• Develop rapid proofs-of-concept, conduct live technical demos, and refine solutions based on feedback.
• Maintain constant communication with customers, engineering, product, and revenue teams to ensure alignment.
• Guide customers through critical technical adoption workflows like code repository integrations and advanced configurations.
• Travel up to 80% for on-site implementations, technical workshops, and customer engagements.

Requirements

• 5+ years of experience in software development, systems integration, or platform engineering.
• Strong proficiency in TypeScript, JavaScript, Python, data structures, and algorithms.
• Familiarity with large language models, prompt engineering, RAG frameworks, and building evals.
• Deep experience with data synchronization, API integration patterns, and event-driven architectures.
• Hands-on experience deploying on serverless and edge platforms with modern DevOps practices.
• Skilled in data mapping, schema alignment, and working with heterogeneous systems or graph data structures.
• Strong communication skills to articulate technical concepts to engineers and business stakeholders.
