Diligent Corporation, the AI leader in governance, risk, and compliance SaaS solutions, is hiring an HR Business Partner I in Bengaluru. In this position, you will act as a strategic advisor to leaders, supporting Customer Support, Customer Success, and Professional Services teams. Your main objective is to turn organizational data and people insights into practical actions that enhance culture and performance. A normal day in this role involves advising leadership on workforce planning and organizational design, coaching managers, spotting emerging trends using qualitative and quantitative data, and serving as the primary partner for employee relations matters in India. You will also design and deliver various programs covering career development, recognition, and performance management, while ensuring alignment with global standards and local employment laws. By working closely with teams in a hybrid setup, you will help shape how talent is hired, motivated, developed, and retained at Diligent.

Responsibilities

• Partner with business leaders on people strategies, workforce planning, and organizational effectiveness.
• Analyze qualitative and quantitative data to spot trends and turn insights into clear priorities.
• Lead and resolve complex employee relations cases in India with compliance and fairness.
• Design and deliver programs across performance management, recognition, and career development.
• Drive core HR cycles including talent reviews, compensation, and performance management.
• Stay updated on regulatory changes and HR best practices to guide team leaders effectively.

Requirements

• 5+ years of relevant experience as an HR Business Partner or similar HR role.
• Hands-on background managing complex and sensitive employee relations in India.
• Proven ability to influence stakeholders at all levels, including senior leadership.
• Track record of managing multiple priorities in a fast-paced setting.
• Ability to handle confidential information with discretion and sound judgment.
• Excellent written, verbal, presentation, and facilitation communication skills.
• Strong organizational and interpersonal skills to build trust and follow through.

Good to have

• Experience supporting teams in Customer Support, Customer Success, Professional Services, Technology, or Product.
• A bachelor’s degree in human resources, psychology, business administration, communications, or a related field.
• A track record of being adaptable, curious, proactive, and analytical with creative problem-solving skills.
