Diligent Corporation is looking for a Senior Content Engineer to join its team in Bengaluru, Karnataka, India. Diligent is an AI leader in governance, risk, and compliance SaaS solutions, helping millions of users and board members manage risk and make better decisions. In this role, you will shape how complex SaaS product knowledge is created, structured, and consumed by both people and AI systems. You will lead documentation strategy, build AI-ready content, and work closely with product, engineering, design, and customer success teams. A normal day in this full-time role involves defining information architecture, building automated documentation workflows, developing content models, and collaborating with cross-functional stakeholders to ensure documentation is accurate, discoverable, and ready for next-generation AI-powered experiences.

Responsibilities

• Lead documentation strategy and execution across assigned SaaS product areas for clarity and accuracy.
• Define and improve information architecture, content models, and structured content standards.
• Build and maintain AI-ready content including agent instructions and prompt libraries.
• Partner with product, engineering, design, support, and marketing teams to embed docs in development.
• Build and improve automated documentation workflows for testing, validation, and deployment.
• Use customer feedback and analytics to improve documentation quality and findability.

Requirements

• 7 to 10 years of experience in technical writing, content engineering, or product documentation.
• Strong experience defining documentation strategy and information architecture.
• Proven experience with Docs-as-Code, Git/GitHub, structured authoring, and XML/DITA.
• Experience with documentation automation, CI/CD, and publishing workflows.
• Understanding of AI/LLM concepts, RAG, and AI-assisted content workflows.
• Strong technical writing, editing, and cross-functional collaboration skills.

Good to have

• Experience with MadCap Flare, AWS CodeBuild, GitHub Actions, Vale, Figma, or Pendo.
• Experience creating in-product content like tooltips, onboarding guidance, and contextual help.
• Experience scripting using Python, Bash, or JavaScript to improve content operations.
• Experience designing prompt libraries, agent skills, or AI-powered documentation workflows.
• Familiarity with WCAG/accessibility, semantic markup, schema design, and content analytics.
