As the Lead Engineer for the new Insight team based in Bengaluru, you will pioneer an AI-first engineering culture from the ground up, shaping a business-critical platform. In this role, you will define AI-driven workflows, drive technical strategy, and act as a key technical partner to the Engineering Manager. A normal day involves leading architectural decisions, writing exemplary code using advanced generative AI tools, mentoring team members on prompt engineering, and guiding the team to achieve high development velocity and creativity.
Responsibilities
- Pioneer an AI-first development culture by defining workflows for prototyping and test-driven development.
- Own the technical vision and architecture for the Discounts platform.
- Lead by example with AI-native coding using conversational models and integrated environments.
- Mentor engineers on prompt engineering, iterative generation, and AI-powered software lifecycles.
- Act as the Engineering Manager's right-hand technical partner to de-risk projects.
- Design and build scalable, distributed systems using microservices architecture.
Requirements
- 9-11 years of web development experience using Java/Kotlin and JavaScript technologies.
- Expertise in AI-native development as a power-user of tools like Claude, Cursor, or Codex.
- Proven experience designing scalable, distributed systems with microservices architecture.
- Knowledge of Agile development principles such as Scrum, Kanban, or Continuous Integration.
- Good knowledge in Java/Kotlin, Spring Boot, React, RESTful APIs, and PostgreSQL.
- Good knowledge in front-end web development and Cloud Platform Services.
- Bachelor's degree in computer engineering or any relevant field.

- Experience working with CI/CD and DevOps.
- Experience working with the Atlassian Suite including Jira and Confluence.
