As a Manager, Software Engineering in the Product Development department based in Hyderabad, you will serve as a hands-on technical and people leader. Your role involves guiding an engineering team, driving release management, utilizing practical artificial intelligence in the software development lifecycle, and collaborating cross-functionally. A normal day for this hybrid role includes leading sprint ceremonies, writing high-impact code for critical components, mentoring engineers, coordinating incident responses, optimizing CI/CD pipelines, and partnering with QA and security teams to ensure reliable, secure, and scalable invoice processing and matching solutions.

Responsibilities

• Provide technical and people leadership by managing, mentoring, and growing a high-performing software engineering team.
• Contribute to high-impact coding on foundational components, critical paths, and prototypes while modernizing systems.
• Integrate AI tools across the software development lifecycle for code generation, analysis, testing, and process automation.
• Oversee technical execution through sprint ceremonies, epic and story grooming, and predictable delivery planning.
• Establish robust monitoring, logging, alerting systems, and reliable CI/CD pipelines.
• Coordinate incident responses and collaborate with security and QA teams to maintain compliance and software quality.
• Plan and execute timely release processes with all stakeholders.

Requirements

• 8+ years of prior software development experience including hands-on coding and management experience.
• Deep understanding of modern CI/CD pipelines such as GitHub Actions or Bamboo.
• Proficiency with cloud platforms like AWS or Azure and container orchestration tools like Docker or Kubernetes.
• Experience with Agile development processes including Scrum and Kanban.
• Applied knowledge of AI in day-to-day engineering and process automation.
• Experience with development languages such as Java, Spring Boot, or Node.js, alongside frontend frameworks like Angular and JavaScript or TypeScript.
• Practical experience with relational and NoSQL databases like PostgreSQL, MongoDB, or Elasticsearch.

Good to have

• Familiarity with AI-powered engineering tools such as GitHub Copilot, Claude Code, or Cursor.
• Knowledge of testing tools like Selenium, Playwright, or Postman.
