Kong is hiring a Senior Director, Finance Systems & Applications in Pune, India, for a full-time role. Kong is the AI Connectivity Company, building the connectivity layer of AI for Fortune 500 companies and AI-native startups to secure, manage, and govern API and AI traffic. As Kong prepares for an IPO and enterprise growth, the finance systems team is scaling its technology ecosystem. In this role, you will define the strategy, architecture, and execution of financial technology platforms to support a world-class public company. A normal day involves overseeing core finance platforms like NetSuite and Celigo, designing enterprise integrations with tools such as Salesforce and Workday, implementing AI-driven automations, establishing governance and SOX-compliant processes, and partnering with Accounting, FP&A, IT, and HR teams to translate business needs into scalable solutions.
Responsibilities
- Own strategy and roadmap for core finance systems including NetSuite, Celigo, Brex, Pigment, and Zip.
- Design and govern enterprise integrations with Salesforce, Workday, Ashby, and other business applications.
- Establish governance, controls, and monitoring for data integrity and SOX-compliant financial processes.
- Champion AI-driven transformation by building intelligent automations to eliminate manual work.
- Partner with Accounting, FP&A, Revenue Operations, HR, and IT to deliver scalable system solutions.
- Lead enterprise-wide finance system initiatives from strategy through deployment and adoption.
- Manage a robust support model with defined SLAs and technology vendor partnerships.
Requirements
- 12+ years of progressive experience leading Finance Systems in high-growth SaaS organizations.
- Demonstrated success scaling finance systems in organizations ranging from $100M to $750M+ ARR.
- Deep hands-on expertise administering NetSuite and modern integration platforms like Celigo, Workato, or Boomi.
- Experience implementing applications across ERP, FP&A, spend management, procurement, CRM, and HRIS platforms.
- Success designing AI-powered automation solutions that improve finance operations.
- Strong SQL and analytical skills for investigating data issues and validating system outputs.
- Excellent cross-functional communication and stakeholder management skills.
