Syndigo is looking for a Senior Quality Engineer to join its team in Bengaluru, Karnataka, India. Syndigo provides software that makes product data complete and trusted, moving it across a large commerce network connecting thousands of brands and retailers like Unilever, Colgate-Palmolive, and AutoZone. In this role, you will help build quality across the software development life cycle, certify product aspects using top standards, and implement automation using Java, Python, and PlayWright-based frameworks. A normal day in this hybrid position involves collaborating with product and development teams, taking ownership of modules, automating API, functional, and UI features, and utilizing AI or generative AI to create testing solutions and improve testing life cycle processes.
Responsibilities
- Work closely with product management and development teams to build quality into all SDLC stages.
- Certify functional and non-functional aspects of products using QA best standards.
- Take ownership of multiple modules and improve STLC processes.
- Implement automation for API, functional, or UI features using Java, Python, and PlayWright-based frameworks.
- Use AI and generative AI to create testing solutions and adapt processes.
- Work within a CI/CD model involving SaaS and Cloud technologies like Azure and AWS.
Requirements
- 6-9 years of total experience in testing enterprise software or products.
- 4+ years of experience in test automation for APIs, integrations, and UI.
- Good practical experience in AI, generative AI, prompt engineering, context design, models, and evaluation.
- Proven experience automating REST or SOAP APIs and integrations using tools like RestAssured, Postman, Swagger, Katalon, or JMeter.
- Hands-on experience with designs and programming or scripting languages such as Java and Python.
- Hands-on experience with Github source control, test management tools, JIRA, and Confluence.
- Strong verbal and written communication skills for interacting with product and technical teams.
Good to have
- Bachelor's Degree in Computer Science or relative work experience.
- Working experience in the Retail or E-Commerce domain.
- Knowledge of MDM or PIM.
- Development or white box testing experience.
