As a Senior Solutions Architect at GitLab in Bangalore, India, you will serve as a trusted advisor guiding prospects, customers, and partners across the country's Southern Region. GitLab provides an intelligent orchestration platform for DevSecOps, helping organizations boost developer productivity, enhance operational efficiency, and accelerate digital transformation using AI-powered workflows. In this role, you will support Commercial and Enterprise segments, with a particular focus on Global Capability Centers, Digital Native organizations, and startups. A normal day involves partnering with Account Executives to lead technical discovery, running proofs of concept or value, hosting workshops, designing solution architectures, and sharing valuable customer feedback directly with Product Management and Engineering teams to shape future platform developments.
Responsibilities
- Lead technical discovery sessions, product demonstrations, and validations for customers.
- Manage technical evaluations like proofs of value, workshops, and tender contributions.
- Partner with sales teams to shape account strategies for new customer acquisition and expansion.
- Support regional go-to-market partners offering Professional Services during engagements.
- Represent the company at industry events, webinars, panels, and hackathons.
- Build trusted advisory relationships with technical practitioners and business leaders.
- Advise customers on modern DevSecOps, CI/CD, security, and cloud practices.
- Share customer use cases and competitive insights internally with product and engineering teams.
Requirements
- Experience in technical presales, consulting, or guiding customers through solution design.
- Knowledge of the end-to-end software development lifecycle and modern DevSecOps practices.
- Hands-on experience with GitLab or comparable source control and CI/CD platforms.
- Practical knowledge of cloud computing concepts, security, deployment, and operations.
- Ability to lead proofs of concept or value and run customer workshops.
- Clear technical communication skills for both practitioners and senior decision-makers.
- Skill in building trusted relationships and collaborating with go-to-market partners.
