Kaseya Careers is hiring a Senior Staff Software Engineer in Pune, India. Kaseya is a major global provider of AI-driven cybersecurity and IT management software, serving internal IT teams and Managed Service Providers across more than 20 countries with over 15 million endpoints managed. In this role, you will provide technical leadership to design and evolve large-scale distributed systems and platform architectures across multiple teams. Your normal day involves driving long-term technical strategy, spearheading AI-enabled engineering practices, modernizing legacy systems, mitigating technical risks, and enhancing platform reliability and scalability. You will also mentor senior and staff engineers, guide cross-functional initiatives, and build shared tools that improve developer productivity while aligning engineering priorities with business goals.

Responsibilities

• Lead the design and evolution of large-scale distributed systems and platform architectures for high scalability and reliability.
• Define and guide technical strategy across multiple teams to align engineering priorities with business objectives.
• Drive the adoption of AI-assisted development practices to improve engineering effectiveness and product innovation.
• Lead complex cross-functional initiatives and mitigate systemic technical risks to advance system observability and performance.
• Define strategies for reducing technical debt and modernizing legacy systems across the organization.
• Develop shared platform capabilities, services, and tooling to boost developer productivity and system consistency.
• Mentor senior and staff engineers while fostering a culture of engineering excellence and high-quality design.

Requirements

• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, or a related field, or equivalent practical experience.
• 10+ years of professional software engineering experience with technical strategy and architecture expertise across multiple teams.
• Deep experience designing and evolving large-scale distributed systems, platform architectures, and cloud production environments.
• Strong hands-on experience with public cloud platforms like AWS, Azure, or GCP, covering scalability, reliability, and security.
• Proven ability to navigate complex environments and influence technical stakeholders without direct authority.

Good to have

• Experience with .NET full-stack and API development using Rust, C#, or JavaScript.
• Extensive background in microservices, Docker, Kubernetes, serverless architectures, and Terraform or Pulumi.
• Deep expertise in observability, distributed tracing, incident response, and reliability engineering.
• Familiarity with OAuth 2.0, OIDC, SAML, and secure coding practices.
• Experience with CI/CD, automated testing, databases, and driving AI adoption across teams.
