StockX, a Detroit-based technology leader connecting global customers to their passions through an online market for high-demand consumer goods like sneakers, electronics, and apparel, is hiring a Software Development Engineer in Test (SDET) for its Bangalore location. In this Quality Engineering role, you will join the team to help scale a reliable, efficient, and consistent automated testing ecosystem across various engineering groups. A normal day in this role involves managing automated test execution within the Lamdatest environment, maintaining and improving automation frameworks, investigating flaky or recurring test failures, and strengthening CI/CD quality practices. Rather than creating individual test cases, you will focus on enabling engineering teams to smoothly execute, maintain, and scale their automated testing processes to boost release confidence.

Responsibilities

• Manage automated test execution in the Lamdatest environment and monitor test runs.
• Investigate recurring, intermittent, and flaky test failures to find root causes.
• Maintain, troubleshoot, and enhance existing automation frameworks and execution speed.
• Integrate automated tests into shared execution workflows and CI/CD pipelines.
• Improve test reporting, dashboards, and test health visibility across teams.
• Partner with developers and platform teams to improve application testability.
• Implement and maintain automated quality gates within CI/CD pipelines.

Requirements

• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Engineering, or a related field.
• 4+ years of experience in SDET, test automation, or quality engineering.
• Strong programming skills in Java, JavaScript, TypeScript, or Python.
• Hands-on experience maintaining and enhancing automated test frameworks.
• Experience with UI automation tools like Playwright, Cypress, Selenium, or WebdriverIO.
• Experience with API automation using tools like Postman or RestAssured.
• Familiarity with Git-based development workflows and CI/CD pipelines.

Good to have

• Experience with CircleCI, GitHub Actions, Jenkins, or Harness.
• Exposure to AWS or other cloud platforms.
• Understanding of microservices, distributed systems, and SQL database validation.
• Experience with AI-assisted testing tools and quality engineering practices.
