Global Healthcare Exchange (GHX) operates a cloud-based supply chain technology platform that automates business processes to improve patient care and reduce healthcare costs. As a Software Engineer II at GHX in Hyderabad, you will join the team to build and maintain backend and frontend platforms that handle high-volume healthcare transactions. Your normal daily routine involves developing applications using Java, Spring Boot, and REST APIs, working with databases like MySQL and MongoDB, writing unit and integration tests, and integrating internal services. You will also participate in Agile and Scrum ceremonies, troubleshoot production issues, follow clean coding standards, and utilize AI-assisted tools like GitHub Copilot or Cursor. Collaborating closely with architects, product teams, and fellow engineers is a key part of the position.

Responsibilities

• Build and maintain applications using Java, Spring Boot, and REST APIs
• Work with MySQL, MongoDB, and Redis databases
• Create integrations with internal services
• Write comprehensive unit and integration tests
• Participate in Agile and Scrum meetings and resolve production issues
• Partner with engineers, architects, and product teams
• Apply clean coding practices and established design patterns
• Utilize AI-assisted development tools such as GitHub Copilot, Cursor, or Claude Code

Requirements

• 2 to 3 years or 3 to 5 years of software development experience
• Strong expertise in Java and Spring Boot
• Experience in REST API development
• Familiarity with MySQL or other relational databases
• Experience with unit and integration testing using JUnit or similar frameworks
• Basic knowledge of AWS and cloud technologies
• Background in Agile or Scrum environments
• Strong problem-solving and debugging capabilities

Good to have

• Angular and TypeScript experience
• Knowledge of MongoDB and Redis
• AWS services experience including S3, SQS, RDS, and EC2
• Familiarity with GitHub Actions and CI/CD pipelines
• Experience with Playwright or other automation testing frameworks
